DesignCraft Print Layouts

Create a one-page poster or flyer with text, an image, millimeter paper sizes and three standard PDF font families. FreeKitBox independently builds a real local PDF with a matching preview and explicit layout limits.

An independent single-page print builder

FreeKitBox implements this poster/flyer workbench independently of the separate upstream DesignCraft publishing application. Load an original sample, edit a title, body and one-line footer, choose Helvetica/Times/Courier standard PDF families, add a local PNG/JPEG and build the actual PDF preview. Download a real one-page print PDF without an account or server upload.

The original 800 × 600 geometric artwork and both layout samples are CC0 content.

Paper, typography and image placement

A4 is 210 × 297 mm. Custom sides range from 50 to 600 mm, with 5–30 mm margins; title 16–72 pt, body 8–24 pt and an optional 10–180 mm image frame. Text wraps with actual PDF font metrics. Content that cannot fit produces a specific error. One image fits inside its frame without cropping.

Image input is bounded at 8 MiB and four million pixels. Standard 8-bit baseline/progressive JPEG or PNG is browser-decoded with EXIF orientation applied and normalized to a static PNG. Original metadata is not embedded. Standard PDF font coverage is Latin/WinAnsi; unsupported characters fail explicitly instead of producing invisible replacement glyphs.

Build, preview and print

  1. Choose the A4 workshop or custom 160 × 120 mm invitation sample, or edit the layout and choose your own artwork.
  2. Build the print PDF. Local image decoding and PDF encoding run in a cancellable worker; the preview renders the actual resulting PDF.
  3. Changing an input clears the old PDF and preview. Download after a successful build.
  4. Use the matching paper size in your PDF viewer and print at actual size / 100% when dimensions matter. Printer margins and physical output need their own proof.

Single-page RGB output with standard fonts; CMYK separations, bleed marks and PDF/X production profiles are outside this workbench's format scope. Inputs stay in this tab until a requested local download; no localStorage input history or upload is added.

Project attribution

Upstream DesignCraft project is separately maintained. This page's supported task is the original FreeKitBox layout/PDF workflow described above, without claiming every feature of that publishing application.
