WordCraft editor

Open WordCraft editor. Independently hosted upstream Web build, version 0.7.0, alpha software. First launch downloads about 15 MB and opens an English interface in a separate tab. Use a current desktop browser with WebGL2, keyboard and mouse. Files are edited locally; save before closing.

Create, open and save a document

  1. Choose New → Blank document, or Open → Browse to select a DOCX.
  2. Try the original CC0 DOCX sample: replace ORIGINAL TEXT in its second paragraph. The table and picture should remain visible.
  3. Choose File → Save As → Browse for DOCX, or File → Export → PDF document for PDF. Your browser shows a save dialog or download.
  4. Open the saved copy and inspect it before sharing.

Checked capabilities and fidelity limits

A simple one-page DOCX with a table and embedded image was opened, edited and saved. An independent reader confirmed the changed text, table and image; the exported PDF contained selectable text. This does not establish fidelity for every Word document. Fonts, complex fields, tracked changes, macros, embedded objects and advanced layouts need separate checks. Keep your original. The English launch preference may affect new-document paper and unit defaults; inspect page size before printing.

A failed launch can indicate disabled WebGL2 or unavailable browser decompression support. Reload once or use the official desktop release. The lightweight page loads no editor until you launch it.
